Despite our spending so much time in our bedrooms, they’re often a design afterthought. Such is not the case with the bedrooms below, however. Shared with us on Instagram, each is a space we’d love to fall asleep in and wake up to.

This bedroom by Brooke Wagner Design shows why we’ll never tire of blue and cream. From the deep-sea blue of the glass table lamps to the chambray duvet cover to the palest hint of blue on the throw, this space proves once again just how wide-ranging blue hues are. The layers of texture and the judicious mix of prints among the pillows also help keep monotony at bay. The golden finish of the canopy bed introduces just a tad of contrast, while the daybed underscores the vibe of quiet luxury.

Gautreau Interiors designed this bedroom for a young boy, but we know many a grown-up who would be delighted to claim it. Talk about mastering the mix: the animal-print Fauna Rug, the striped wallpaper, the cane inserts of the bed panels, the monogrammed gingham pillows, the horses prancing on the bolster pillow… They all work together because the palette is kept tight and low-key. The six artworks that make up Dawn Wolfe’s Intaglio Cross Collection tie the disparate colors together.
If you’ve shopped the Tastemaker’s Edit that Brigette Romanek curated exclusively for us, you know that her style encompasses both the traditional and the unconventional. This bedroom is a case in point. The floral wallpaper is a lyrical counterpoint to the strong, bold lines of the bed, which nestles perfectly within the alcove. (Wingback beds are always a great choice for creating that cocoon coziness.) The patchwork leather settee at the foot of the bed and the deep brown of the Hermès throw also keep the room from feeling too demure.

Artist and stylist Josh Yöung also curated a Tastemaker’s Edit for us, and one of his product picks was the Lydia Camelback Settee. Seen here in yellow velvet, it provides a perfect pop of color in Josh’s otherwise monochromatic bedroom, just as the two-arm task-style ceiling fixture introduces a contemporary complement to the room’s otherwise traditional silhouettes.
This isn’t a bedroom per se, but who wouldn’t want to cozy up for a nap (or for the night) in a space like this one from Mally Skok Design? It’s a much less claustrophobic interpretation of the box-bed popular in parts of Europe through the 18th and 19th centuries. With that wealth of shelving you could keep all your reading material, beverages, and other essentials right within reach.
