Farrow & Ball’s Bancha paint on the moldings creates a striking frame of the entry in the Connecticut farmhouse of designers Heide Hendricks and Rafe Churchill. The woven basket and the original heart-pine floors provide a rustic complement to the refinement of the vintage rug and table. Room by Hendricks Churchill; photo by Tim Lenz. This past year we’ve toured homes from coast to coast, sprawling estates and compact apartments alike. While it’s near-impossible to single out any favorite home tours, especially given how wildly diverse they are in style, we have compiled this selection of favorite rooms.

The living room of this Manhattan apartment proves that sophisticated and family-friendly need not be mutually exclusive. Stain-resistant upholstery on the Hudson Sofa and the Shaw Swivel Club Chairs helps. We also love that the curves of the Greta Spot Side Tables ensure the space doesn’t feel boxy. This Savannah townhome dates back to the 1880s, and some of the furnishings are even older. But we love the vibrancy introduced by the more-modern elements such as the sofa and the blue chairs. Room by Chuck Chewning; photo by Chia Chong. Explore the rest of the home here.

Though this home office is in Santa Monica, the owners wanted it to reflect their New York roots and sensibility. The sharp angles, crisp lines, and chrome details pay tribute to the Art Deco finesse of the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. The pale wood, though, is in keeping with California ease. Room by Adam Hunter; photo by Trevor Tondro. View the rest of the home here.

Pale green, brown, and blush make for an unexpected palette, but a nonetheless breezy one, thanks to the inclusion of a whitewashed console, a pale wood dining table, and white millwork. Find the chairs here and the candleholders here. Room by One Kings Lane Interior Design; photo by Katie Charlotte Lybrand. See the rest of the makeover here.

A white Aga and farmhouse sink. Custom Shaker cabinetry in deep blue. Thick-plank floors dating back to the 1850s. What’s not to love? Room by White Arrow; photo by Thomas Richter. Tour the entire New York farmhouse here.

Pretty in pink, and blue, and white. There are so many details to love, from the scalloped edges of the coverlet and shams to how the curtains are the same pattern as the wallpaper but in a reverse colorway (and painstakingly aligned). The inside of this Palm Beach home is a pastel beauty, and the backyard pool area is just as spectacular. The Celerie Kemble for Lane Venture chaises and settee are perfectly positioned for lazing in the shade or soaking up the sun. Space by designer Caroline Rafferty and landscape architect Fernando Wong; photo by Ken Hayden.
