Jen Atkin’s Living Room
After a yearlong renovation of their home, celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin and photographer Mike Rosenthal had one space left to finish: the glass-walled living room that leads out to their pool. The couple turned to One Kings Lane Interior Design for an assist, together selecting serene blues, natural textures, and lots of stripes to layer on top of the sleek white walls and cement floors. The result resonates perfectly with the couple’s combined aesthetic. “We share a love of warm minimalism,” Mike says. “Clean, light, architectural spaces that aren’t too cold or sterile.”

A Creative’s Multiuse Dining Room
The typical New York City apartment—small, with an awkward layouts— is notoriously difficult to decorate. It becomes imperative to create areas that serve double duty, as young entrepreneur Stephanie Nass did in her Manhattan abode. With a little help from One Kings Lane Interior Design, she turned her dining room into a multitasking space, complete with an expandable table that’s fit for both dinner parties and work sessions.

One Kings Lane’s Room at Holiday House
We were honored to outfit our very own space at this year’s Holiday House NYC, an annual show house that raises funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. “We were very inspired by icons of American design—people like Elsie de Wolfe and Billy Baldwin—and the way they were able to create spaces that could transport you to another time or place,” says lead designer Becca Roderick of One Kings Lane Interior Design.

A Young Professional’s First Apartment
Decorating one’s first solo apartment can be a daunting—though thrilling—task. So young professional Will Hardy turned to One Kings Lane Interior Design for a hand in outfitting his own space, a small studio in a new high-rise in downtown Brooklyn. What started as an all-white, bare-bones residence was turned into a sleek and modern pad with a few touches of color—perfect for the busy, style-discerning bachelor.
