On Saturday, July 28, One Kings Lane partnered with Elle Decor on the magazine’s first-ever Hamptons Home Tour, hosted by editor in chief Whitney Robinson. The day began with brunch in the garden of our Southampton shop and was followed by visits to the homes of designers Kelly Behun and Alex Papachristidis and tastemaker Rita Schrager. The day ended with a cocktail party hosted by Compass Real Estate at the home of designer Richard Keith Langham—which is on the market, by the way. For a virtual tour, see below.

Heading into designer Kelly Behun’s 22,000-square-foot beachfront home. To counter its imposing proportions and glass walls, Kelly sought to create a warm, welcoming ambience, mixing Moroccan rugs and global-inspired fabrics with modern, sculptural pieces.
Off the entry is a custom staircase made of snow-white plaster, which Kelly says is incredibly soft on bare feet.
Kelly and her husband, investor Jay Sugarman, in the latter’s home office, which boasts both floor-to-ceiling built-ins and views of the Atlantic Ocean.
The outdoor living area of Kelly’s home includes a series of cabanas and an infinity pool overlooking the ocean.
The minimalist yet warm furnishings ensure that the spectacular vistas remain the focal point.
In contrast to Kelly’s home is the more-traditional abode of designer Alex Papachristidis. (You can tour his Manhattan home here.) The impeccably manicured grounds include a pool and a pool house, a vegetable garden, and a tennis court.
Unexpected artworks prevent Alex’s gardens from coming across as staid.

Layers of luxurious fabrics and family heirlooms give Alex’s dining room a sensibility that balances time-honored elegance with inviting informality.

Designed by Miami-based Hernán Arriaga, Rita Schrager’s home has a classic Hamptons aesthetic with elements that reflect her Latin heritage (she dubbed the property Casa Cuba) and global travels.
The lush grounds of Casa Cuba provide maximum privacy.
The light, neutral palette of Rita’s living room makes it easy to create a curated look from pieces of varying styles and provenances.
Casa Cuba includes two guesthouses. The living room of this one has a decided coastal feel.
Called the African Room for obvious reasons, the smaller guesthouse is furnished with artifacts Rita picked up overseas.
